Pacific Hills Donor and His Wife Make Their Day Off Count with a Blood Donation
Some couples spend their day off at brunch or the movies. Christopher and Kristina spent theirs donating blood.
Christopher is a regular donor at Nebraska Community Blood Bank’s (NCBB) Pacific Hills Donor Center, donating every eight weeks. When he asked his wife, Kristina, to join him for his latest donation, she said yes.
While donating, Kristina was already encouraging her family to make appointments after learning that NCBB is the sole blood provider for local hospitals. She was ready to become a blood donation advocate on the spot.
Christopher also shared a story that shows the impact of regular donors. Last year, he was attending a Nebraska game with his son when an announcement said Wisconsin was in first place in the We Give Blood competition. His son immediately turned to him and said, “Dad, you have to go and donate!”
Thank you, Christopher and Kristina, for making your day off count and helping keep local hospitals supplied with lifesaving blood.
