On Wednesday, November 26, Nebraska Community Blood Bank (NCBB) had the honor of celebrating an extraordinary milestone with donor David Clements, who has officially surpassed 300 lifetime donations. David is now officially at 306 donations, a remarkable achievement that reflects years of dedication and compassion.

David’s commitment to blood donation began in high school, inspired by his parents, who were also regular donors. Donating soon became a family activity, setting the foundation for a lifelong habit of helping others. He began donating with NCBB on January 14, 2020, and has remained a consistent and enthusiastic supporter ever since.

His drive to continue donating is deeply rooted in his personal connections to the medical field. With a father who served as an ambulance attendant and a wife who is a physician, David has seen firsthand the lifesaving impact that blood donations have on patients and families. This perspective fuels his ongoing dedication and reinforces the importance of giving whenever he can.

When asked what advice he would offer to someone donating for the first time, David shared a simple but encouraging message: “Don’t be scared of the needles—stick with it!” His words capture both the courage and the commitment that define his donation journey.

We are grateful for David’s incredible contributions and are proud to celebrate this significant milestone with him. His generosity continues to make a profound difference in the lives of countless patients and their loved ones. Thank you!
