While on site at Millwork Commons in Omaha this week, Nebraska Community Blood Bank (NCBB) staff were blood typing donors and promoting the upcoming May 7 blood drive when they received a special visit from John W. Ewing Jr.
Mayor Ewing, who was volunteering in the same building with United Way of the Midlands, stopped by to connect with the NCBB team and even learn his blood type. His visit was a meaningful reminder of how community partners and local leaders come together—often in unexpected ways—to support important causes.
NCBB is grateful for leaders who dedicate their time to giving back and helping raise awareness about the ongoing need for blood donors.
Employees are encouraged to help carry that momentum forward by participating in this Thursday’s Millwork Commons blood drive.
