Super heroes of all different shapes, sizes and TYPES united at the ninth annual Spirit of Giving Dinner on April 18. Put on by the Nebraska Community Blood Bank, the event gave special recognition to volunteer blood donors – our community’s lifesaving heroes!
The Nebraska Community Blood Bank (NCBB) recently gave special recognition to volunteer blood donors at the ninth annual Spirit of Giving Dinner. In attendance were blood and platelet donors who have reached significant gallon levels, including a truly selfless couple who gives back together.
To recognize our community of lifesaving volunteer blood donors, Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman has once again proclaimed January as National Blood Donor Month.
Two well-known, nationally-recognized blood centers, Nebraska Community Blood Bank (NCBB), Lincoln, NE and Memorial Blood Centers (MBC), St. Paul, MN, are pleased to announce the formation of a new blood services organization effective August 1, 2012.
The Nebraska Community Blood Bank (NCBB) is making changes to its donor collection sites. May 1st, the NCBB Pine Lake location will relocate to 1631 Pine Lake Road and June 22th, the NCBB Downtown location at 131 S. 13th Street will close.
The Nebraska Community Blood Bank plans to move its south branch to a new location.The organization will move into the former Bike Pedalers location at 16th Street and Pine Lake Road on May 1, said Joyce Halvorsen, communications director for the blood bank.
