Give Life This Give to Lincoln Day

A motorcycle accident left Dale Johnson fighting to survive. He was losing blood so quickly, doctors said he had a 7% chance of survival. Thanks to more than 20 generous blood donors Dale is healthy and truly living his life.

Dale is just one of the many people in our community helped by blood donations. In fact, 1 in 3 people will need blood in their lifetime.

A Community of Generosity Keeps Us Going

Nebraska Community Blood Bank has served Lincoln for 50 years as a place where generous people can make these life-saving blood donations. Under the care of our expert team, each donation is carefully collected and then undergoes extensive testing to ensure safety and compatibility. It is then made available to people right here in our community who need it. People like Dale - a father, husband, grandfather, radio host and adventurer - who may have died if there was not blood available when he needed it.

All gifts, both big and small, will impact someone's life.

Thank you, Lincoln, for allowing us to serve you for 50 years. It's with your help, either through financial gifts or blood donation, that we are able to continue this life-saving work.
