As six- year- old Breanne regularly travels past the Nebraska Community Blood Bank’s 84^th& O location, she has seen the signs saying blood donors needed and often tells her dad to stop and donate.  In the December of 2010, Breanne’s persistence paid off and Dad, Kenny, stopped to donate.  He has continued to be a volunteer blood donor ever since. Each time, Breanne is there to cheer dad on and as she puts it, “make sure he doesn’t chicken out!”  This isn’t to say she doesn’t love the cookies, too!  Breanne recruitment efforts have now grown to include working on her older brother who will soon turn 17.
