Download a PDF version of the Dedicated to Life Point Program
The Nebraska Community Blood Bank Dedicated to Life point program is intended to enhance the donation experience by providing meaningful awards and benefits for our donors.
HOW DOES THE POINT PROGRAM WORK?
Simple. Each time you donate blood, you earn points. When you reach a minimum of 600 points, you can redeem your points for a “thank you” gift or continue to accumulate points.
HOW DO I EARN POINTS?
Depending on the type of blood donation that is made, the following points are awarded:
Donation Points
Whole Blood 100
Red Cell Apheresis 200
Platelet Apheresis 200
IN ADDITION
CAN I TRANSFER MY POINTS TO SOMEONE ELSE?
If you do not wish to use points for yourself, you can donate your points to the NCBB Educational Scholarship Program. Points are not transferable to someone else and are not redeemable for cash.
DO MY POINTS EXPIRE AT THE END OF THE YEAR?
No, for active donors which is at least one donation a year, points earned continue to accumulate until redeemed. Points will expire after 24 months of inactivity.
WHEN DID THE POINT PROGRAM BEGIN?
The new point program began October 1, 2010. All donations made since your last gallon club achievement will be awarded under the new point system.
